Public realm projects ballot results

All attending the 2022 AGM where asked to assign ten points to one or more of the fourteen public realm proposals that emerged from the consultation process for the Neighbourhood Plan. The results of the voting are shown in the table below and this was used as the basis to select the top five initial priorities.

List Of Projects

  • PR1 – enhance Fiveways through pavement, traffic and crossing changes
  • PR2 – improve St. Stephen’s Gardens by reconfiguring pergola and adding seating and game tables
  • PR3 – add street trees and extend pavements at the south end of Needham Road
  • PR4 – slow traffic on the Toaster Streets through pavement changes and allow play streets
  • PR5 – create more visible and pedestrian friendly entrances at Wessex Gardens
  • PR6 – add pedestrian crossings across Talbot Road, Ledbury Road and Westbourne Park Road
  • PR7 – install air quality monitoring devices
  • PR8 – replace street lamps with lower heritage designs for less light pollution
  • PR9 – create a brand identity for our area and our businesses to help support them
  • PR10 – host a competition to design a NHENF drinking fountain and raise funds for its instalment
  • PR11 – add some public art in visible locations in our area
  • PR12 – have a community notice board to help increase communications
  • PR13 – plant additional street trees in locations identified
  • PR14 – create a local design guide with Westminster
